New Frames

New Frames
Wayne Dyer once said "Change The Way You Look At Things And The Things You Look At Change"
Many fields use systems designed to help with this kind of change. Some are as all-encompassing as realigning a fearful worldview in order to fully participate in life, and others are very focussed, such as the habitual user of tobacco reframing self as a non-smoker to facilitate cessation.
When I was training as a Labyrinth Facilitator, Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress spoke of walking the lab...

Easy Path

Easy Path

Walter Savage Landor is remembered for saying “There is no easy path leading out of life, and few easy ones that lie within it.” As we move towards World Labyrinth Day, this is a point to ponder.

The first Saturday of May is always World Labyrinth Day, and this year that happens to be May First, overlapping with whatever merry-making this May Day can include.
May Day festivities are usually held on 1 May or the first Monday of May, and the current public health situation does no...

Quarantine Labyrinth

Quarantine Labyrinth
"The Labyrinth is a spiritual tool that has many applications in various settings.
It reduces stress, quiets the mind and opens the heart.
It is a walking meditation, a path of prayer, and a blue-print where psyche meets Spirit."
Rev. Dr. Lauren Artress

World Labyrinth Day is always held on the first Saturday of May. This year, that is the very first day of the month, offering a chance for people to discover how labyrinth work is adapting to the public health situation.

The Threes of March

Posted by Jo Leath on Saturday, March 20, 2021, In : Numerology
The Threes of March

As the third month of the year, March is a time when Three Energy can be called into ur individual lives. Three supports novelty and originality which allows us to be creative in whichever field we are working.
Three represents some of the activities of March, perhaps the most obvious being the three-leafed plants like clover and shamrock which decorate St Patrick’s Day on the seventeenth.
This March I have had additional Threes making themselves noticeable in my life.

Getting Started
A List of Resources

I am always delighted to meet with new clients.
Apart from happily getting to know about another person in the world, I benefit from the way they often guide me towards what is happening today, what people are seeking, and where I should put my attention.
I have been asked, several times recently, “Where do I begin?” “What are the best books?” “Who should I look for online?”
I have decided to create a short guide to teachers and books and links. ...

Path. Walk. Change.

Path. Walk. Change.

Labyrinths are spiritual tools which focus energy. When we walk them, our own energy fields are exposed to frequencies and vibrations that rarely touch us in other locations.
Walking a labyrinth can be a moving meditation. Slowly, and mindfully travelling the path allows for an open connexion to Spirit. Insights may flow, solutions to specific problems may suddenly seem obvious.
There are measurable physical effects from meditation and focussed contemplative...

The Path which Contains

  The Path which Contains

For anyone who believes, as I do, in the immortal and eternal nature of the Soul, it is logical to think of a lifetime as a finite event.
Each of us is living a physical experience which had a beginning and will have an end. All of our activities, relationships, learning and emotional responses will take place inside that enclosed event.
Each individual human physical life, then, is self contained.
When I was granted the new Numerology tool the Numb...

Celebrating The Path

Celebrating The Path

A labyrinth is a winding path that leads, always and inevitably, to a destination.
Labyrinths are used in many ways. They have been built into churches; incorporated into hospitals and office buildings; positioned in gardens and made small enough to sit on a table.
There are multiple approaches to engaging with a labyrinth, and just as there is no right way, it is really not possible to find a wrong way, although when a ritual is being conducted, it would be poss...

Celebrating World Labyrinth Day

Celebrating World Labyrinth Day
Saturday May 7, 2016 is the eight annual World Labyrinth Day coordinated by the Labyrinth Society.
World Labyrinth Day has a focus on Peace. People walking labyrinths at 1 o'clock local time, will send peaceful and peace-promoting energy rippling around the globe for 24 hours. I will be hosting an event in Masham QC, to which readers are welcome.

In her book Melissa Gayle West names six aspects of the human relationship with the labyrinth,...

Revealing the Path

Revealing the Path

One of the phrases often quoted in labyrinth work is that what happens on the labyrinth is what happens in life.
When walking a labyrinth with other people we are given clues about our relationships. Are you impatient with the person ahead? Likely you are impatient in other places too. Do you feel pressured by someone behind? That is probably a feeling you connect with every day. The experiences we have in a labyrinth energy field contain lessons and life-teachings ...

The Intentional Path: where Numerology meets Labyrinth

The Intentional Path: where Numerology meets Labyrinth

One of my favourite Numerology tools is the Number Grid, and the uses I learnt from my teacher, Julia Line.
The grid sets out positions for the nine single digits, and allows a clear view of how the component parts of any individual date combine to reveal the energetic profile of that day.
Creating a Number Grid to experiment with is very simple: create a noughts-and-crosses or tic-tac-toe game frame. This is the design you a...

Walk as One

Walk as One

Numbers and Number vibrations are always with us, and there are many benefits to connecting with those frequencies which are present in our ever-shifting personal energy fields
Energy Field is a label that can be applied to many different features, and people working in diverse areas may use the label to describe varied unseen elements of the world.
The human body, like that of any mammal, creates heat, and that heat can be detected from a small distance, without touch...

July, and my Obsession with Seven Energy

July, and my Obsession with Seven Energy

2014 carries the vibration of Seven energy.
July is the seventh month, multiplying that vibration. During this month, there will be three days which magnify it yet again: the 7th, 16th and 25th. There are the only three days this year when the day, month and year express the same number.
There are a limited few calculations in a numerology chart which require the subtraction of numbers. Days like the 7th of this July are days of particular ...

Like Reiki for Mother Gaia

Like Reiki for Mother Gaia

Spring has sprung, and I am preparing to set up my Reiki table in the screened porch of my home. I hold sessions in the almost-outdoor room, high in the forest canopy. Treetops wave and lean, breezes are gentled by the screening. Ringing bells and meditative music raise the vibration of the area, and I am blessed to channel Reiki energy smoothly to my clients.
When a client is on the table, I move around, accessing all parts of their energy field. I shift ...

Mapping the Moments that Matter

Mapping the Moments that Matter

This week I have been working on a leisure time project in which I was required to create a map of some time in my life; identify an important place on the map, and write the details of what happened there.
I have been spoilt for choice.
My parents were adventurers who did not stay in any one place for any length of time. As a child I lived in several towns, attended several schools, and enjoyed visiting many places and people in the United Kingdom...

Synchronicity; Inspiration; Remembering

Although this website has my name as its domain, it is called Exploring Paths to Cosmic Wisdom. I have a Facebook page by the same name, and I don’t often talk about the nature of the title.

When I was beginning to emerge from my grief at being widowed, I connected with a Spiritual Centre near my home. I was interested in promoting my long-standing numerology practice to their clients.

The owner and I had some discussions, and I atte...

Time Bends

Time Bends.

April 23rd is an important date in my life. In 2007 it was a day that changed my life.
On that day my partner of 17 years made the transition from this life to the next one, and I was faced with an unexpected and unclear future.
I remember that day, that week, in fact several weeks leading up to that day in minute detail. Some of the memories feel only a week old they are so bright and present in my mind.
At the same time the intervening six years have brought me ...

2012 My Year in Numbers

Posted by Joy Leath on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, In : Numerology
2012 has Five vibration. I have written and talked about that a lot this year.
2+0+1+2=5, and Five is the Number of growth and change and adaptation. Five carries transformation

There is talk of The Shift. There are discussions of the end of the Mayan Calendar.

I am fortunate that in my world, people are very consciously finding ways to move society into a new plane that honours more fully the multi-dimensional nature of the universe.

I think everyone I know has changed this y...
