Remembering

Sometimes, the focus of meditation and quiet time is to remember: to remember who we are, to connect with the wonder of who we were before we entered into the Human Experience. 
This is a concept often phrased as “We are not human beings on a spiritual journey. We are spiritual beings on a human journey.”
German philosopher Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel  1770 – 1831) published the dictum that ‘matter is spirit fallen into a state of self-otherness’, and this may have informed teachers who came later.

I have no trouble accepting the absolute truth of the concept, best summarized in modern times as “We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience.” 
This quote is usually attributed to French Jesuit priest, philosopher, and paleontologist Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (1881–1955), yet researchers have been unable to discover it in his writings.   
It has also been attributed to George Ivanovich Gurdjieff (c1870–1949)  a Prussian mystic, philosopher, spiritual teacher, and composer. Perhaps this is an example of parallel development, or convergent thinking.
Regardless of the origin of the idea, I believe that in 2019 people are called to pay attention to it, and delve into remembering their own Cosmic identities.

I have written before about how my first learnings in Numerology did not feel like taking in new information, but rather remembering a wisdom that had slipped out of use.
Once I was exposed to the teachings of the great Numerologist Dr. Juno Jordan I was able to reconnect and remember what I already knew. I knew the discipline deeply, and had a profound ability to analyze the connexions among the Numbers. I saw the interconnexions between the major parts of the chart, and how they reveal themselves in a life path. 
I never cease to be amazed by the presence of these details in my thinking, and I know they originated outside my current life experience.
We are all fascinated by the idea of a child prodigy, and thrill to witnessing skills which have not had time to develop during a short lifespan of three years, four years or nine years.
  I grew up in the North of England, and the affectionate term ‘pet’ was used to me, about me, all around me. As an adult I used it, too. 

I will never forget the day in the 1980s when I called a five year old Jewish girl  ‘pet’.  Anger filled her expression, and she pulled herself up to full height before she told me, very clearly “I am not an animal.”  Previous generations of her family had suffered immensely from the genocidal policies of the 1930s and 1940s, but at 5 she had not been taught the details of that history. Yet some part of her was determined that she would not accept being given a label that diminished her humanity.
The field of epigenetics is beginning to explore how memories can be inherited, perhaps this will open up a new way of seeing memories moving through time and space and life. 
In the meantime, finding the quiet place within might aid us in our quest for full comprehension of our Spiritual Reality.

Synchronicity

Synchronicity 
Online dictionaries define synchronicity as coincidence in time; contemporaneousness; and simultaneousness.
They add that in Psychoanalysis, synchronicity is the simultaneous occurrence of causally unrelated events, and the belief that the simultaneity has meaning beyond mere coincidence.
In my work, Synchronicity is this, and more, and perhaps slightly different.
