New Year Coming
 
     With each New Year the Number on the calendar changes, and the Universal Number Energy shifts. The great Cosmic cycle of life turns the world along a path of growth and progress.   


     The Number Cycle is the story of all development, in individuals, families, communities, businesses and societies.
The complex cycle can be represented in simplistic terms, listing the energies thus:
One: Being 
Two: Relating
Three: Creating
Four: Building
Five: Expanding
Six: Serving
Seven: Teaching
Eight: Balancing
Nine: Unifying
The Numbers and their vibrations repeat in a cycle, and they never go backwards. The forward motion is like climbing a spiral staircase: even though the cycle goes around and around, whenever we look out we see the view from a new angle and altitude.

Each time we begin a new Personal Year, returning to energies from nine years past, we bring to it nine years of experiences and relationships and learning. 
2020 has been a year of Four Energy, (2+0+2+0=4). It has brought square, blocky circumstances that supported the act of laying a foundation, setting down the base to support new growth. 
2021 brings a vibration of Five, (2+0+2+1=5) which is about growth and progress.
As we approach the New Year and the move from Four’s Building Energy, to Five’s Expanding Energy, I am reminded of the Anaïs Nin quote:
“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” 
At the close of 2020 I see many people feeling stressed by the difficulties of the shape of life in a world with COVID. 
I can imagine them as tight buds, straining to be free of all constraints, and blossom into the directions they choose.
Realistically, even after the bud opens, it is still restricted in how it expresses itself. It remains on the bough where it has developed. Life asks it to process the sun and the rain while awaiting the unfolding of the future, along with the other plants.
The growth and progress of 2021 brings with it the ability to adapt and adjust. There will be new ways to do things, and new things to do. We will each expand our way of being and doing in order to function safely.
The value of physical life has never been more starkly visible. I have great confidence in the ability of people to find ways to secure and maximize our life experience. We will discover new best ways to navigate the world safely, and we will adopt whatever practices will keep us healthy.
